One model.
Built to travel.
A replicable blueprint for community infrastructure across Africa.
Sunrise brings decentralized energy, clean cooking, productive-use infrastructure, water and digital monitoring together in one modular system. Developed in Northern Ghana, it is designed to be adapted and repeated community by community, market by market.
Five systems. One integrated architecture.
Each village is configured around the community it serves.
- 01
Distributed Energy In the model
Solar home systems and community mini-grids bringing reliable electricity to rural households.
- 02
Clean Cooking Live in Phase One
Efficient stoves that cut biomass use and household smoke. Live today in Phase One.
- 03
Productive Use In the model
Solar-powered processing, cold storage and retail that turn power into local income.
- 04
Water In the model
Solar-pumped supply, storage and community distribution.
- 05
Digital Monitoring Live in Phase One
Sensors, smart metering and digital MRV that make every system measurable.
Phase One in Ghana is a clean-cooking deployment with sensor monitoring. The other systems are part of the full model and are configured to local demand, existing infrastructure and financing; not every village receives every component.
Not a product. A deployment and financing architecture.
The same six-stage sequence runs at every site, which is what makes the model repeatable at scale.
Community Intelligence
Assess energy access, household needs, livelihoods and water before anything is designed.
Infrastructure Design
Configure the right mix of solar, clean cooking, water and productive-use systems.
Capital Structuring
Blend grants, concessional and commercial capital, PAYGo and eligible carbon finance.
Local Deployment
Install through local partners and field teams, with community engagement throughout.
Digital Monitoring
Track use, performance and climate impact with sensors and structured reporting.
Replicate
Use each site's data and results to structure the next community and the next market.
From three communities to institutional scale.
Developed in Nadowli-Kaleo District, Upper West Ghana. Next markets are under assessment.
Clean cookstoves across three communities, building deployment experience and monitoring capability.
Households. Expanding implementation and validating operating economics.
Households. More districts and, over time, additional African markets.
Building the next generation of community infrastructure.
Tangelic works with governments, development institutions, infrastructure and technology providers, and capital partners to turn local needs into structured, financeable and measurable deployments.
