Frequently asked questions

Clear answers for partners, donors, and talent: how we operate, deploy, and partner.

01About Tangelic

What is Tangelic?

Tangelic is a climate infrastructure developer. We develop, build, and operate decentralized energy systems across Africa: solar microgrids, clean cooking, and carbon-ready infrastructure, engineered for scale, resilience, and local ownership.

How did Tangelic start?

Tangelic was founded to close the gap between climate ambition and delivery. Too many projects stalled at the pilot stage, and too much capital never reached the communities it was meant for. We built a platform for execution: infrastructure that performs on the ground, capital aligned with community outcomes, and African leadership at the center. Today, Tangelic is headquartered in the United States, with projects active in Ghana and a team across Africa and the Gulf.

What makes Tangelic’s approach different?

We build. Every initiative is tied to physical infrastructure, a clear revenue model, and long-term transfer to local operators. Our forums, research, and Tangelic Talks serve the same goal: bringing partners, capital, and policy support to the work on the ground.

Where does Tangelic work?

Tangelic is headquartered in the United States and works across Africa. Projects are active in Ghana, where Sunrise Spectrum is operating in the Upper West Region with Green for Change Ghana.

How do you verify impact?

Every installed system feeds Tangelic’s own monitoring and verification layer. Field performance becomes auditable data, aligned with carbon market requirements and reported to investor grade. We report what is deployed and measured. See how it works on the Sunrise Spectrum page.

02Partnering & giving

Can my organization partner with Tangelic?

Yes. We work with philanthropic institutions, development finance institutions, technical partners, governments, and carbon market players ready to co-build, moving capital and capability into systems that deliver, from deployment through verified impact. See Strategic Co-Builders.

How can I contribute?

Financial support is the most direct path, especially catalytic funding that de-risks early deployments. We also work with engineering partners, policy advisors, universities, and strategic conveners. Bring expertise, and we will put it to work. Contact us here.

How will my donation be used?

Donations fund deployment directly: solar microgrids, clean cooking systems, carbon market readiness, community training, and field verification. Every dollar is mapped to outcomes. Donate here.

Is Tangelic a registered nonprofit? Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes. Tangelic is a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations are tax-deductible for US taxpayers to the extent allowed by law. Donate here.

03Joining the team

Can individuals get involved beyond donating?

Yes. We welcome volunteers with technical, legal, communications, and climate finance expertise. Tell us what you bring, and we will find the right fit.

Is Tangelic hiring?

We hire when talent strengthens our capacity to deploy and scale. If you bring expertise in African markets, carbon finance, or clean infrastructure, reach out through our Contact Us page.

What is Tangelic’s stance on diversity and inclusion?

Inclusion is built into how Tangelic operates. Our team, partners, and programs are built around inclusive leadership, local ownership, and gender-aligned finance.
